A day before the fifth and final tour stop in Algeria in 2012 to be held on Wednesday, the new yellow jersey, returns in this Natnael Berhane maintains itsearned third place at the 4th stage and its ambition to retain its top spot overall.

Eritrean rider Tefsom Okubamariam Issak Tuesday won the fourth stage of the Cycling Tour of Algeria 2012, run between the city center of Oran and Mount Santa Cruz, over a distance of 138km. Tefsom Okubamariam Issak finished in 3 hours 27 min 38 sec, followed by Algeria’s Hichem Chaabane (Sovac Velo Club) in 3:27.42 and Eritrean Natnael Berhane Teweldemedhin.Tour of Algeria 2012 stage 3

While everyone was waiting for the fourth leg of the tour to see a change in the overall standings, the third component of the 2012 round of Algeria has surprised many. And for good reason, the fans of cycling Algerian, gathered en masse along the route, attended the wake of some riders and confirmation of many others.
The Moroccan national team was the first to distinguish itself by chaining the breakaways. However, these attempts to break away from the lead pack were unsuccessful and Moroccan runners were caught after a dozen kilometers.
The turning point of this event was held at 28 km, with a breakaway orchestrated by a group of seven riders, headed by the winner of the day. The platoon is then divided into several parts and the yellow jersey group, Lars Anderson, has been distanced by more than five minutes.
